About Dr Helen Haynes

I am a consultant psychiatrist writing under a pen name to protect my privacy and that of my patients. 

I live in England, where I work with an older people’s mental health team.  The NHS Trust I work at is one of the biggest in the UK.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at home with my husband, our children, and the dog, embracing the noise and chaos that I pretend doesn’t suit me. Life here is untidy and loud, full of half‑finished jobs, with muddy shoes by the door.
