I am a practicing consultant psychiatrist writing under a pen name to allow for privacy of my patients. 

I live in the North of England. The NHS trust I work at is one of the largest mental health trusts in the United Kingdom. I am currently the lead psychiatrist in the older people mental health team and the Dementia and Delirium pathway lead.  I am extremely proud to have been part of the team who won Team of the Year in the 2025 Royal College of Psychiatry Award, and Highly Commended in the British Medical Journal Award in 2017 for education.

Outside of work, I am usually at home with my husband, children, and the dog, embracing the noise and chaos that I pretend doesn’t suit me. Life here is untidy and loud, full of half‑finished jobs, with muddy shoes by the door.
